Sometimes when I don't know what to read next, I'll go to Amazon and type in a book I enjoyed, and see what pops up under "customers who bought this also bought". That is how I discovered this book, and I am glad I did. The Paris Wife is the story of Ernest Hemingway's first wife Hadley. It's the 1920s and Hadley is living in an apartment above her demeaning sister, 28 years old, and has given up hope of ever finding love and happiness. She takes a trip to Chicago where she encounters a vivacious 21 year old beautiful man who immediately captures her attention. Ernest is a struggling writer who loves a good drink, and sweeps her off her feet.
